Home»Hardwired Button Installation and Testing – Autohot Residential System
The following video shows where to install the hardwired push button for the Residential AutoHot® System. This also shows how to test it afterwards.
This is one of the ones that the AutoHot determines when you ‘demand’ hot water. This is one type of activator for the on-demand recirculation system. Other options include wireless motion sensors and wireless push buttons.
Please note, the hardwired pushbutton will slide snugly into a 5/8″ hole. Oftentimes this will be drilled into the front of your cabinet, right by the sink.
For multiple buttons, view the following video, fast forward to the middle at about 2:36 to see the section on connecting multiple buttons. Please note, the crimp wire connectors are not included in the piece.
